Summer STEM Camps
Hands-on camps where students explore real engineering through projects like injection molding — shoulder-to-shoulder with working industry engineers.
Foundational literacy, math, and hands-on STEM — tutoring, field trips, and a free classroom resource library that connect the classroom to the real world of work.
Since 2017, Key Up Education has designed tutoring, instructional consulting, and hands-on STEM experiences that build the foundational literacy and math skills everything else depends on. Our approach is individualized, practical, and rooted in real-world application.
Founded and led by Mary Key, M.Ed., we specialize in at-risk learners — finding the specific skill gaps that hold a student back, and closing them, while easing the planning load on the teachers we work alongside.
Good teaching tools should never be locked behind a paywall.
Materials for both instructors and students — across STEAM, reading, writing, and social studies. No sign-up wall, no subscription.

One-of-a-kind third-grade field trips that teach math through injection molding — turning an abstract subject into something students can see, touch, and build.
We train industry partners to deliver experiences mapped to academic standards, using Bloom's Revised Taxonomy to push students toward higher-order thinking.
Bring this to your schoolFrom a single field trip to a full summer camp — here's how it works.
Tell us your grade level, your goals, and what your students need. Schools, districts, and community partners all welcome.
A hands-on program or field trip mapped to your academic standards — with the planning load on us, not on your teachers.
Real projects with real engineers. Foundational skills click when students can see it, touch it, and make it themselves.
Key Up Education is led by founder Mary Key, M.Ed., in partnership with engineers and manufacturers who open their doors, tools, and expertise to students — turning classroom concepts into the real work of making things.
